cendol


What is it?

It is a traditional cold dessert originating from South East Asia. It always sell at the hawker stall or at food court. The dessert's basic ingredients consist of coconut milk, a worm-like jelly made from rice flour with green food coloring (usually derived from the pandan leaf), shaved ice and palm sugar. Next to these basic recipe, other ingredients such as red beans, glutinous rice, grass jelly, creamed corn, might also be included.

How to make it?

Ingredients :

Air gula

0.17g gula merah

4 sudu besar gula pasir

1 1/2 cawan air

1@2 helai daun pandan

600 g cendol (jeli hijau)

1 1/2 biji kelapa parut - > santan (perah dengan air suam)

garam secukup rasa


Methods :

1. Masak gula merah, gula pasir dan air di dalam periuk. Masak sehingga air gula menjadi pekat.

* Pastikan sentiasa mengacau air gula ini kerana ia mudah meruap.

2. Campurkan santan, garam dan cendol ke dalam satu bekas yang lain.

3. Siap. Campurkan air cendol dengan air gula megikut kehendak masing-masing.
